My TV schedule for Winter/Spring 2012
As usual there are new shows I try to get into a drop and other shows I am not even aware of and end up watching.
Some thoughts on some of the upcoming shows
The Firm (NBC) : Plan to check this out for the cast (Callum Keith Rennie and Tricia Helfer both star) but not entirely sure if I will stick with it.
Alcatraz (Fox) : I need this to be amazing, after the lacklustre Person Of Interest. I think it may take a while to get there but it has the potential. Whether it will get the chance to fullfil that depends on the ratings.
Luck (HBO) : The pilot for this has already aired I really should get around to watching it to see whether the show will be for me, I mean I love HBO productions but the world of horse racing leaves me cold.
Smash (NBC) : I really hope this is as good as it seems to be, Glee with consistent characterisation and plotlines and with bonus Jack Davenport! Well that is what I am hoping for.
The River (ABC) : Another mystery would be Lost show I am trying not to read too much about it and will see whether it grabs me or not. Anything has to be better than Terra Nova and The Event right?
Missing (ABC) : Yet again more mystery and drama but it has a strong cast (yay Sean Bean!) and I am liking that a lot of these mid-season shows have short seasons could be to the benefit of the story.
Awake (NBC) : I am really looking forward to this one though it has yet to have airdate. I read it had one of the strongest pilots last year and great concept with a great cast.
The Newsroom & Veep (HBO) : Both HBO shows coming sometime this year, hey its HBO I always get excited.
