So I kind of just started crying over The Avengers like breaking all of the records and making all of the money and all because of Joss Whedon.
Joss Whedon the man that brought into my life a strong snarky teenage vampire Slayer and her wonderful brave friends.
Joss Whedon the man that brought into my life a vampire led detective agency with its lost souls and need to help others.
Joss Whedon the man that brought into my life a rag tag bunch of misfit cowboys in space, who had a little ship to call home.
Joss Whedon the man that brought into my life the damaged minds of the Actives and their brave fight to become real people.
Joss Whedon the man that brought into my life music and tragedy via superheroes and would be supervillains
And now Joss Whedon the man that achieved what everyone expected to be a failure and instead gave us a messed up family of misfits and damaged people with the desire to save the world…a lot.
Really The Avengers is everything I’ve come to love about Whedon’s work and I hope that people who have never seen his previous shows but enjoyed this movie so much go back and check it out because what he has been saying all along about friendship and family and sacrifice and bravery is at the heart of all of his work.
“I’d rather have a show that a hundred people need to see, than a thousand people like to see” - Joss Whedon

Yeah just going to reblog all of these.
One of the best examples of taking a really annoying seemingly unredeemable character and making their story and journey fucking soul destroying and heartbreaking and yeah marry me Franz for your perfect portrayal.

So so so great to see some Victor/Sierra on my dash, they were perfect and definitely one of my favourite Whedon ships. They just belonged together and being a Whedon show I didn’t expect a happy ending for them BUT they got one and I cried and life was good!

One of the greatest achievements in the world of Whedon is making Topher a likeable character, after being a douche for most of S1 seeing what happens to him is heartbreaking. Kudos to Fran and the writers for putting the character on such a journey
