What’s the matter, Raylan? You seem a bit agitated.

Brad Dourif is fanastic as the Doctor, damn I love his relationship with everyone especially Jane, Jewel and the Rev. Smith.

Seth ‘I’m married with a son’ Bullock I like how he tries to stay out of the bullshit he really does but he can’t help but get dragged into all the little injustices going on.  Also his friendship with Sol is so good. I loved their weird little quartet with Charlie and Wild Bill at the start of the season.

I adore Alma I really do I love how the relationships of the main female characters are all linked via young Sophia but also by a need to find their own independence and escape their circumstances.  Trixie being another great example of this.

I wasn’t so sure about Joanie at first but she has really grown on me, I hope she gets away from Cy who is coming across as more menacing than even Al. I like her developing relationship with Charlie who is one of my favourites (yes I have a lot of favourites in this show ok!)

I guess I have to talk about the main man Al who of course is a complete bastard but also a magnificent one and can show compassion in his own way when he wants to.

A lot is made about the swearing in the show and I will admit it is the first thing I remember hearing about the series when it first aired. Yes there is a lot of ‘cocksuckers’ and ‘fuck’ and ‘cunts’ but it works well within the context of the show. It adds to the rich texture of the community and you really get used to it after a while.

So yes going to have a couple of days break to absorb all of that because there is a whole lot of plot going on in Deadwood and then crack on with S2.
